30 days, 2 photographers, 1 winner…

About the Project

Photo Fight

Photo Fight is a friendly competition where photographers agree to shoot and upload a photo every day for a month. It’s like a visual response to various other month-long challenges (National Novel Writing Month for example). Each week-day has a pre-determined theme, with the weekends being free-for-all. Readers are asked to judge which of the two images they think best embodies the day’s theme. The photos are going to be presented with no explanation as to who shot which image, making sure the competition is fair and people’s votes are not swayed by any factors unrelated to the photos themselves.

In the end, the votes will be counted and the photographer with the most votes wins that month’s Photo Fight. Currently no physical prize is offered, but the digital bragging rights are plentiful!

We’ve run two full sessions of Photo Fight in the past so far, and we’re looking forward to our third run–a divergence from the format in a number of ways.

We’re always looking for other photographers to “fight” with–so if you want to take us on, drop us a line!
